The Ingredients: General Information and Actions:
• Magnesium glycinate comprises the essential mineral magnesium bounded to a glycine molecule, which is a non-essential amino acid. This is one of the most bioavailable and absorbable forms of magnesium and the least likely to induce loose stool. It is the safest option to correct a long-term magnesium deficiency.
• Magnesium is involved in a large number of biochemical processes in the body and plays a key role in energy production. It helps maintain normal muscle and nerve function, a regular heart rhythm and healthy bones and teeth.
• Magnesium is necessary for the metabolism of carbohydrates, fats and amino acids. It has an important role in the body utilization of calcium, phosphorus, sodium, potassium and several vitamins including Vitamins C, E and B-Complex vitamins.
• Magnesium interacts with parathyroid hormone and Vitamin D to regulate healthy calcium homeostasis in the body.
• Diets with higher amounts of magnesium are associated with significantly lower risks of diabetes.
• Magnesium may help alleviate some symptoms of chronic fatigue syndrome, fibromyalgia and may prevent migraine headaches.
• Early signs of magnesium deficiency include loss of appetite, nausea, fatigue and weakness. More severe forms of magnesium deficiency are associated with numbness, tingling, cramps, muscle contractions, mood changes and irregular heart rhythms.
